Yes. You have the option of renting transportation (motorbike, car, bicycle, etc) or using transportation via local apps. For some special experiences, we'll also have group transportation.
As far as getting around and knowing were to go, Google Maps works everywhere. You'll be provided with location details for everything included during your 10 day journey. -
No. Due to differing tastes and meal restrictions, you'll be free to eat what you'd like. Before camp, we'll ask about allergies and food restrictions to be aware and accommodating as much as possible. This includes when considering where to recommend to eat or selecting places we eat together. (Ex. if you don't eat pork, we'll make sure who know what the word for pork is in the local language and what to steer clear from.)

The countries and areas where our Bloom Camps are located are very safe. We recommend keeping only a small amount of cash on you, using common sense when interacting with others, and being mindful that you’re a guest in another country.

In most countries we operate, ESL teaching jobs are available. During camp, you'll learn from our camp counselors and communities about how they earn an income while living abroad. Absolutely! We love when campers share their experiences on social media. Your unique perspective can inspire others to take the leap and become expats too. During the camp intake, we'll provide a media release form so we can capture and share content from your journey with EBC. We just ask that you use our designated tags when posting, so we can share your content as well. 🖤

Yes, your phone should work, but we recommend contacting your carrier at least 48 hours before departure to confirm and ask about their international phone, text, and data plans.
Most people utilize WhatsApp and social media to stay in contact via phone or video call with people near or far. Your welcome kit will also include an eSIM card with a data plan and a list of recommended apps to download. (More information can be found in the resources section of your camper portal.) -

During camp intake, each camper must sign a code of conduct outlining expectations for behavior with fellow campers, locals, partners, camp counselors, and vendors. If you break this code during camp, we reserve the right to remove you. Please note, if you are removed for violating the code of conduct, you will not receive a camp registration refund, and any payments made to vendors, like accommodations, will be subject to their cancellation policies.

The cost for camp registration is:
$1,800 if you choose the Pay in Full (PIF) option.
$2,000 if you opt for the Payment Plan option, which can be split over 3 or 4 months for added flexibility.
Both options include accommodations, transportation, and personalized guidance throughout the 10-day camp experience.

$500 non-refundable deposit due at registration to secure your spot.

We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. Here’s how our refund policy works:
Deposits & Registration Fees: All deposits and registration fees are non-refundable, as they go towards securing your spot and arranging accommodations, transportation, and other logistics.
Refunds for Cancellations:
30+ Days Before Camp Start Date: If you cancel 30 or more days prior to the camp’s start date, you are eligible for a 50% refund of the remaining balance (excluding deposits).
Less Than 30 Days Before Camp Start Date: Cancellations within 30 days of the camp’s start date are non-refundable, as all logistics and accommodations have already been finalized.
Credit Transfer Option: We offer a credit transfer option, allowing you to use the paid amount (minus any non-refundable fees) for a future Bloom Camp experience within one calendar year.
Force Majeure: In the event of unforeseeable circumstances (natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.), refunds will not be issued. However, credits will be provided for future use.

Yes, you will need both a passport and a visa to participate in Bloom Camp. For the visa, we recommend getting a Visa on Arrival (VOA), which you can obtain at the airport when you land.

While we encourage you to attend all of camp, it’s not required. If you plan to skip an experience, please let a Camp Counselor know at least 12 hours in advance.
Also, there is a camp long scavenger hunt jam packed full with different activities, venues, events, sights, and adventures for you to choose from to help you fully immerse yourself in the local culture. You can pick what you'd like to explore and earn points towards rewards along the way!

Of course! If you refer someone who signs up and pays their camp registration fee, you can choose between a cash payout of $250 or a $500 credit toward a future Bloom Camp experience.
