Expat Bloom Camps (EBC) - Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Expat Bloom Camps ("EBC," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing and using our services, website, and programs, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("ToS"). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Eligibility & Participant Requirements

  • You must be 18 years or older to participate in EBC programs.

  • You must have a valid passport and any required visas for travel.

  • You are responsible for ensuring that you meet all health, insurance, and vaccination requirements before attending a camp.

  • Travel Insurance Requirement: All participants must obtain their own travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and personal liability.

  • By enrolling in an EBC program, you confirm that you are physically and mentally fit to participate.

3. Services Provided

EBC provides immersive relocation experiences that include structured gamified activities, community-building opportunities, and guidance on settling in new locations. Our programs do not include legal or immigration services, and participants are responsible for handling their own visa, residency, and financial obligations.

4. Payments, Refunds, & Cancellations

Payment Terms

  • Pay in Full: $1,800 (Enjoy a $200 discount when you pay in full. The one-time payment is due at the time of registration to secure your spot.)

  • Standard Payment Plan:

    • $500 non-refundable deposit due at registration to secure your spot.

    • Remaining $1,500 split into three monthly payments of $500. Payments are due on the same day each month, starting the month after registration.

Refunds & Cancellations

  • Deposits & Registration Fees: All deposits and registration fees are non-refundable, as they go towards securing your spot and arranging accommodations, transportation, and other logistics.

  • Refunds for Cancellations:

    • 30+ Days Before Camp Start Date: If you cancel 30 or more days prior to the camp’s start date, you are eligible for a 50% refund of the remaining balance (excluding deposits).

    • Less Than 30 Days Before Camp Start Date: Cancellations within 30 days of the camp’s start date are non-refundable, as all logistics and accommodations have already been finalized.

    • Credit Transfer Option: We offer a credit transfer option, allowing you to use the paid amount (minus any non-refundable fees) for a future Bloom Camp experience booked within one calendar year.

    • Force Majeure: In the event of unforeseeable circumstances (natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.), refunds will not be issued. However, credits will be provided for future use.

5. Participant Conduct & Code of Ethics

By participating in EBC programs, you agree to:

  • Respect local cultures, laws, and customs at all times.

  • Adhere to EBC’s Code of Conduct, which prohibits harassment, discrimination, and any behavior that disrupts the experience for others.

  • Follow all program rules and instructions provided by EBC facilitators.

  • Maintain personal responsibility for your belongings, safety, and actions.

EBC reserves the right to remove any participant who violates these guidelines without refund.

6. Liability & Disclaimers

  • Assumption of Risk: Participants acknowledge that travel and relocation involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, theft, and unforeseen circumstances.

  • Limitation of Liability: EBC is not liable for personal injuries, losses, travel disruptions, or other damages incurred during participation.

  • Third-Party Services: EBC collaborates with external vendors for accommodations, activities, and transportation. We are not responsible for their actions, policies, or service quality.

7. Privacy Policy Acknowledgment

EBC collects and processes personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to our data collection and usage practices.

8. Changes to Terms

EBC reserves the right to modify these ToS at any time. Any updates will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Oregon, USA.

  • Any disputes will first be resolved through informal negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be settled by binding arbitration in Portland, OR, USA, except where prohibited by law.
